At the age 18, Eiya paul entered the city for the first time. Born in 1993, the first child in a family of 07, who was brought up in a village and as a boy I had little reason(s) to travel. But I was intelligent enough and got encouraged after my “O” level from Light secondary school in Soroti District. While I was in Light Secondary School, I held the leadership position of General School Speaker and as well a Health Prefect.
In 2013, he travelled to the capital city (Kampala) for my “A” Level study at Pride College- Mpigi. His major challenge was how to get school fees so through the initiative of Prof. Adipala Ekwamu and the Family to set up a School (Adipala High School), he was able to get school fees through digging marrum for construction of the school structure. He worked hard and harder to generate fees and while at school he held the post of Head Prefect which in turn motivated him by acquiring leadership skills.
In 2015, he joined Kumi University to pursue a Diploma in Science and Information Technology where he was elected as Chairperson KUITSA (Kumi University Information and Communication Technology Students’ Association). He did his school Practice from Adipala High School and he was recommended the best Student Teacher in 2016 by Mr. Okiror Emmanuel Isaac Pioneer Head Teacher.
In 2017, he was recruited as a full time and qualified Teacher for Computer Studies and Subsidiary ICT. He really worked hard to ensure he improve on the performance of students as far as computer studies is concerned. As pertaining the subject skills and experience, he is the senior consultant in Kaberamaido District and Teso Region.
In 2019, he was promoted in the position of “Director of Studies”. This was as a result of hard work, passion and career since academics is the key factor for our existence, and he empowered students to perform at their best not only in class but also in circular activities. In Adipala High School he treated students with dignity and respect, encouraging individuality and promoting self-assurance, confidence and independence. Our academic philosophy of “No student should be left behind” is adopted within our nurturing environment and sizable classes ensuring a close interaction between Teachers and Students.
